Field Trips

Our farm is uniquely situated to provide educational opportunities for children, and we love sharing our philosophy of sustainable agriculture with little ones. Visiting our farm is a great way for kids to connect with where their food comes from, all while getting fresh air and time outdoors.
Fishkill Farms operates year-round and there’s always something to do on the farm! Our dedicated, enthusiastic staff will work with your group to make sure students of any age have an unforgettable farm experience. Field Trips and Group Outings are available Tuesday through Friday. We are unable to accommodate weekend field trip requests.
October is by far our busiest month for field trips, and spots fill up quickly. If you’re hoping to schedule an apple-picking visit in October, we recommend reserving early, ideally in July or August. Late August through September is also a wonderful time to visit the orchard, with plenty of apples on the trees and beautiful early fall weather.

Private Events

Fishkill Farms is blessed with some of the most enchanting scenery in the Hudson Valley. The unparalleled views of our sweeping orchards and the Catskill Mountains make ours an ideal site for events, such as birthday parties, baby & bridal showers, family reunions, and corporate outings.
As a real, working farm—not a theme park—we focus on growing fresh, sustainable food and sharing the joys of farming with our community. While we do have a few friendly sheep, we do not operate a petting zoo. Instead, we invite you to immerse yourself in the authentic farm experience.
We host private events from May through August, offering a unique way to celebrate life’s special moments. Enhance your event with seasonal add-ons such as farm-fresh catering, pick-your-own fruit experiences, hard cider, private wagon rides, and our famous cider donuts.
Please note that due to the busy apple-picking and Fall Harvest Festival season, we cannot accommodate any private events on weekends from September through October.

A Note on Large Private Events, Including Weddings
As a busy, working farm, our focus is on sustainable food production and providing authentic farm experiences. Due to the demands of our operations, we are unable to accommodate any large-scale events such as wedding ceremonies, receptions, or rehearsal dinners.
We understand how important your special day is and want it to be everything you envision. However, hosting large, elaborate events exceeds our farm’s current capabilities. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to visit us for other memorable experiences throughout the year.
